MICHAEL SWAN: MORE COMFORT FOR BAD GUYS >>>
We just received this news out of the fort Lewis PAO:
The Level II medium-custody facility, formerly the Fort Lewis Regional Correction Facility, closed in 2008 for renovations.
The recent improvements include upgrades for better air circulation and ventilation inside the facility, outdoor and emergency lighting, improved plumbing and fixtures, paint, and enhancements to the physical security system and fire control systems, and installation of a running track around the exercise yard.
The facility can house up to 190 pre-trial prisoners or post-trial prisoners with sentences up to 7 years, as directed by the Army Corrections Command.
During the closure, Fort Lewis and Naval Submarine Base Kitsap-Bangor realigned separate corrections facility management operations at each installation to form the Northwestern Joint Regional Correctional Facility (NWJRCF).
NWJRCF will manage corrections operations at both installations, as directed by the Base Realignment and Closure Commission.

Glad to hear that the facility is being upgraded, but bear in mind that some being held there aren't "bad guys."
